Emerald Match Review

Editorial policy

Our aim is to publish clear, considered writing about dating and matchmaking. We distinguish explanation from opinion, avoid presenting personal preferences as universal rules and make corrections when something we publish is wrong.

Accuracy and care

We review submitted work for clarity, consistency and support for its factual statements. General advice is framed as an option to consider, not a guarantee of an outcome. We avoid claims about what all daters want or how every relationship works. If an article relies on a source, its basis should be clear to readers; we do not invent sources, experiences or credentials.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for the reader-facing value and fit of a piece. Commercial relationships do not buy favourable editorial coverage. If a collaboration or partner placement has influenced material, we identify that relationship clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and explain what appears incorrect. We review the concern and, when a correction is warranted, update the relevant material with wording that makes the change clear. Questions about interpretation are welcome too, though not every difference of opinion calls for an alteration.

Partner material and illustrations

Partner placements are clearly labelled and kept distinct from editorial recommendations. We do not imply that a paid placement is an independent assessment. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such, and they are not presented as documentary photographs or evidence.
